Cold Water Helps Best to Remove Grease & Oil

Fast-1-2-3 EFP causes soil to breakup into micro-sized soil and binder (oil • grease • fat) which then float to the top of the cold water film. 

Conversely, hot water melts soil binders and releases the binder's hold on soil particles. Melted binders spread and reattach to the surface being cleaned and soil particles reattach to the spread binder. 
e.g. Spots seem to come back and tend to be larger.
